Refund policy
Boost Doc Return & Warranty Policy
Boost Doc is committed to supplying quality products and services in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This policy explains our procedures regarding returns, warranty claims, inspections and your obligations as our customer.
1. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) & Warranty
All products, parts, kits, engines and builds sold by Boost Doc come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our warranty applies strictly to the part or product itself and does not cover:
-
Labour costs, installation or removal expenses
-
Consequential or incidental damages or losses
-
Other parts used, broken or affected by the fault, claim or observation
2. Conditions of Warranty & Return
To protect the integrity of all parts, engines, heads, builds and kits supplied by Boost Doc, the following conditions apply:
-
Tampering, modification or disassembly of any part, engine, head, build or kit voids all warranties and implied warranties, whether written or verbal.
-
All claims must be lodged in writing within 14 days of receiving the goods.
-
No external opinions, commentary or influence (including social media or unrelated workshops) will be entered into regarding the claim.
3. Inspection & Assessment
To ensure an unbiased process:
-
All engines, heads, builds and kits subject to a claim may undergo an independent third-party inspection and measurement at the discretion of Boost Doc.
-
For large, heavy or costly-to-return goods, Boost Doc reserves the right to arrange on-site inspection by a qualified third party or authorised inspector to confirm the nature of the fault or defect at their discretion.
-
Only faults directly related to manufacturing, workmanship or supplied specification will be considered.
4. Return Procedure
If you believe a product does not match its description or is faulty:
-
Notify us in writing within 14 days of receival, including a detailed description and relevant photos/videos, documentation and evidence.
-
Do not tamper with, disassemble, modify or continue to use the product.
-
Boost Doc will guide you through either:
-
Returning the part to our workshop, or
-
Coordinating an independent inspection (for large/heavy goods).
-
After inspection, we will confirm the outcome and, where applicable, offer a repair, replacement or refund, in line with ACL.
5. Abandoned & Unclaimed Orders – 28-Day Policy
Orders returned to Boost Doc as unclaimed, refused, incorrectly addressed, or undeliverable due to customer error will be held for 28 days from the date of return to our workshop.
During this period:
-
The customer will be contacted via the email provided at checkout.
-
The customer may request re-shipping at their cost (including any applicable restocking and administration fees).
If no instruction or payment for re-shipping is received within 28 days, the order will be deemed abandoned.
6: Abandoned Goods – Ownership Surrender
After 28 days, the order/parts are considered surrendered and:
-
Ownership transfers to Boost Doc
-
Goods may be resold, repurposed, recycled, or disposed of
-
No refunds, credits, or replacements will be provided
This clause does not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law where a genuine defect or major failure is confirmed.
7: Restocking Fees for Exchanges, Changes and Store Credit Requests
Where goods are returned without fault and the customer requests any of the following:
-
a change of part, model, size or specification
-
a change of colour, finish or configuration
-
store credit instead of keeping the original item
-
an exchange due to customer selection error
…the following conditions apply:
-
A restocking fee applies at a minimum of $25, or 10% of the sale cost (whichever is greater) to cover inspection, handling, processing and administration.
-
Goods must be returned unused, uninstalled and in original or equivalent packaging.
-
Any price differences between products selected will be payable before dispatch of replacements.
-
Store credit, where approved, will be issued minus restocking fees and freight costs.
-
Restocking fees do not apply where a genuine fault or major failure is confirmed under the Australian Consumer Law.
This clause does not remove or limit any rights you have under the ACL.
-
Parts must be returned in original or equivalent packaging, with proof of purchase.
-
Return freight for non-compliant goods is at Boost Doc’s cost; return freight for goods found compliant is at the customer’s cost.
