- Chill-X is designed to be seam welded to your compressor cover, to make a fluid/gas tight seal around the whole compressor cover, creating a pocket to be used as a water jacket to cool the compressor while your making heat from boost.  Think of Chill-X somewhat like a water to air cooling device, and is plumbed as a stand alone unit much like a water to air intercooler. This does not replace an intercooler, in is used in conjunction with an intercooler (air to air, or water to air)

Dyno Data Overview:

The dyno graph below shows real-world test parameters and outcomes. Focus on the two red traces in the lower half of the chart, which represent compressor discharge temperature measured between the turbocharger and the intercooler. The thicker red line (with cursor on it) shows temperatures with CHILL-X active, while the thinner red line shows the system inactive. At 18 psi boost on a G30-770, tested from 2000 rpm through to 6000 rpm and back to idle, CHILL-X delivers consistently lower average discharge temperatures and, just as importantly, significantly faster temperature recovery after the pull. This improved thermal control directly supports more stable power delivery and reduced heat soak under repeated load.
