TH400 Adapter Plate for AWD Vehicle Conversion

This TH400 adapter plate is designed to facilitate the conversion of an AWD vehicle to a TH400 transmission setup. Please note that this listing is for the adapter plate, adapter shaft and shifter blanking plate only, and does not include hardware, gearbox case, bell housing or other parts required for a drive in, drive out conversion.

🔹 Fits AWD Transfer Cases: Compatible with both manual and automatic versions of the AWD transfer case to GTR, Stagea and GTS-4. R32 and R33 only: Not R34 6-speed.
🔹 Gold Anodized: Offers a durable and attractive gold finish for enhanced longevity
🔹 Custom Modification Requirements: Several modifications are required for complete installation (see below)

Modifications Required (Not Included):

  • Gearbox Tunnel Massage: The rear section of the transfer case near the driver’s seat requires modification to fit the new position of the transfer case.
  • Custom Shifter Assembly & Fitment: A custom shifter assembly will be necessary for the conversion to suit the th400 gearbox.
  • Modified Gearbox Cross Member: Requires adaptation to fit the new setup
  • Requires custom gearbox mount,
  • Modified Bell Housing or Adapter: Depending on your case (Reid or GM), modifications may be required
  • Modification of bell to clearance for front prop shaft. 
  • Drive Shaft Modifications: Adjustments to both drive shafts lengths are necessary for correct fitment
  • Custom Speedometer Configuration: To work with the new drivetrain setup
  • Built TH400 Gearbox: Ensure you have a professionally built TH400 gearbox
  • Custom Torque Converter & Flex Plate: Tailored for the new setup
  • Reid Case: Requires an aftermarket bell housing for correct fitment
  • GM Case: Modification or an adapter kit for the RB may will needed

  • Sold as basic kit Only – This listing is for the adapter plate, adapter shaft and blanking plate only. It is essential to source all other components separately.
  • Requires Custom Modifications – Due to the complexity of converting an AWD vehicle to a TH400, several custom parts and modifications are required (see above).
